samenvatting: Archiving has become an increasingly important practice in the preservation of feminist and queer histories. In this article, we pay specific attention to the emerging body of literature on feminist archives of popular music, many of which are community-based, DIY initiatives. These community-led archives aim to comprehensively collect the ephemeral, intangible heritage of feminist music cultures that have traditionally been excluded in popular music canons and marginalised by mainstream heritage institutions. The literature revealed that feminist music archives function as much more than spaces for preservation - they are affective as much as they are intellectual, and they are key sites for activism and community-building. These two themes - activism and affectivity - thread together the body of literature, providing both the driving force behind these DIY archives and their potentiality in the communities of interest they cater to. The community archivists accounted for in the literature have all engaged in practices of queering the community music archive; taking the mainstream heritage institution as a model and rebuilding it from the ground up, renegotiating its boundaries and notions of linear history, and reconfiguring its practices to account for lives lived in the margins of the mainstream.

samenvatting: Al cumplirse este mes el cincuenta aniversario de su fundación, Moléculas Malucas presenta la historia de la agrupación Third World Gay Revolution de Nueva York, cuyos principales impulsores fueron los argentinos Juan Carlos Vidal y Néstor Latrónico. Estaba integrado por lesbianas y homosexuales negr*s y latin*s del llamado Tercer Mundo. En este artículo se traza por primera vez la corta pero intensa experiencia del grupo, desde su fundación hasta su disolución, acompañado de un conjunto de materiales de archivo inéditos desde su publicación original. Entre ellos, incluimos la primera traducción al castellano de su potente plataforma de demandas.

samenvatting: Zonder lgbtq-archieven geen queer geschiedenis. Het zijn onmisbare bewaarplaatsen en kenniscentra voor het onderzoek naar een deel van ons verleden dat lange tijd als taboe beschouwd werd. Nederland en België kent twee gespecialiseerde archieven die zich al decennialang bezighouden met het verzamelen, bewaren en ontsluiten van historische bronnen over de geschiedenis en leefwereld van de lgbtq-gemeenschap. In Nederland is dat IHLIHA LGBTI Heritage en in België Fonds Suzan Daniel. Lonneke van den Hoonaard (IHLIA) en Bart Hellinck (Fonds Suzan Daniel) gaan met elkaar in gesprek over moeilijkheden én mogelijkheden voor het lgbtq-archiefwezen. Een dialoog over neutraliteit en maatschappelijke tendensen, privacy en digitalisering. Met een aanstekelijk enthousiasme over de parels binnen hun collecties en hun constante missie om het queer verleden te ontsluiten.

Queering Glamorgan : A Research Guide to Sources for the Study of LGBT History  / Norena Shopland and Dr Daryl Leeworthy.

samenvatting: Glamorgan Archives has produced this guide to assist researchers with the study of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) history in the former county of Glamorgan, with emphasis on the county boroughs of Bridgend, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, the Vale of Glamorgan, and the city and county of Cardiff. Its primary aim is to encourage better understanding of historical and contemporary LGBT experience. Since modern terminology cannot easily be used to understand this aspect of the past, research into LGBT history can be difficult and time consuming, and researchers are often confronted with negative attitudes contained within the records, or with the absence of a historical record. Contained within this guide are case studies using exemplar material housed at Glamorgan Archives. The case studies demonstrate how the story of an individual or a meeting place or an organisation can be pieced together from a range of sources together with additional information gathered from external resources, such as the National Library of Wales, neighbouring county archives, institutional archives such as Special Collections and Archives (SCOLAR) at Cardiff University and the Richard Burton Archives at Swansea University, or archives further afield such as the Lesbian and Gay News Media Archive (LAGNA) held at the Bishopsgate Institute in London.

samenvatting: As a queer person, I came to realization, that I want to claim my own place in time and space as a member of LGBTQ+ community. My wish to be present and seen in the public comes from desire to be recognized and understood. Thankfully, I am given a chance to live and study in the greatest country famous for invading not peoples but polders. This helps me to realize the trend to personal experience in peaceful activity. Every individual deserves the right to exist and express himself or herself to their true identity. What if queer people can put themselves on the map by doing so quite literally? I would agree with Ammer, who defined "to put on the map" in 1992 as not only the geographical location as in case with Google maps, but to be famous or be publicized. Moreover, to not just ge olocate themselves on the interactive map, but also to collect personal stories that reflect queer ex perience. Queer memories and queer experience constitute a part of the queer world making and represent valuable and significant moments of the LGBTQ+ community existence. With the community-generated mapping project "Queering the Map" www.queeringthemap.com this can actually happen. By working on this project, I am aiming to examine how queer people can use such new media objects to both contribute to collective memory by sharing a personal message and to map out their experiences, while performing those actions anonymously. This paper explores queer digital culture from a perspective of safe spaces and collective memory archives and, in doing so, it offers an outlook on a definition of queer internet, that implies anonymity, participatory culture and identity exploration.

samenvatting: Der Verein der "Freund*innen des Elberskirchen-Hirschfeld-Hauses - Queeres Kulturhaus" e.V. (E2H) konnte 2019 mit großen Erfolg den Aufbau eines queeren g Geschichts- und Kulturhauses weiter vorantreiben. Seine Projekte entsprachen dem eigenen Anspruch nach Vertiefung der Partnerschaften innerhalb des Aktivist*innenkreis wie auch, dies vor allem, nach öffentlicher Wirksamkeit. Mehr als 3000 Menschen konnten im Jahr 2019 über die Ausstellungen, Lectures und Interventionen - direkt - erreicht werden; in medialer Hinsicht war das Queere Kulturhaus mehrfach Teil der Medienberichterstattungen in Berlin. Konkret: Diverse kulturelle Projekte und wissenschaftliche Verantaltungen wurden umgezetzt, die Stadt und der Berliner Senat mit vielfältigen Aktivitäten informiert und mit dem Engagement des Queeren Kulturhauses vertraut gemacht.

samenvatting: Dissens sichtbar machen - das ist wohl die griffitgste Formulierung, um die Veranstaltung "Queer Thinking: Sexualpolitik kontrovers" zu beschreiben, die am 6. Juli 2019 in Berlin stattfand. Geladen hatte das "Queere Kulturhaus - Elberskirche-Hirschfeld-Haus"(E2H) in spe in die Galerie PS120 an der Berliner Potsdamer Straße/Ecke Kurfurstenstraße. Das Queere Kulturhaus, das unter anderem Seminar-, Performance- und Ausstellungsräume an der Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 23 unter einem Dach vereinen will, plant. spätesten 2023 in das ehemalige Redaktionsgebäude der Tageszeitung "taz" nah dem Chekpoint Charlie in Berlin-Kreuzberg einzuziehen.
